EFG America

Rubber Masterbatch Production

About Us

EFG America has established its first devulcanized rubber production facility in Bay City Texas. When complete, the facility will produce over 100 Million pounds a year of devulcanized rubber Masterbatch.

The EFG  technology is a devulcanization technology that severs the sulfur bonds in a vulcanized rubber material and locks up the sulfur so that it cannot re-bond. The new material that is produced is a "Black Masterbatch", with most of the properties of the original rubber compound. EFG Black Masterbatch can be added back into new rubber products (including tires) in significant amounts at significant savings to the manufacturer. For many products, EFG Black Masterbatch can be re-vulcanized into a new product by simply adding sulfur.
